Hello Sir, I am afraid our responses are restricted to stocks we cover. Thanks, Vidya
Good morning,
I am holding this stock at an average price of ₹360-. The current rate is ₹ 307. Should I continue holding it? I don’t mind the long haul if you feel the rationale of your recommendation still holds.
Thanks & Good day..
Welcome your query sir
The rationale still holds for the stock.
Despite weak earnings in last 2 quarters, management still maintain their 5 yr growth guidance.
Earnings growth is expected to pick up from FY23, especially from the second half.
Since the weakness may persist in the upcoming quarter also, we thought of coming up with more update after Q4 result.
Also, we may be able to get more updates from the management post the Q4/year end results on future trajectory
Thank you
That’s reassuring. Will keenly await Q4/FY updates.
Thanks.
Thanks for this stock recommendation. Novozymes is the global leader in enzymes and they have major presence in India and they are number one in India as well i guess. What is the market share of Novozymes and AEL in India? How good AEL in competing with Novozymes?
Welcome your query sir
AEL is a small Co with focus on human nutrition while Novozymes is a large global player in Industrial enzymes. Overall domestic market for enzymes is very small while AEL is a leader in a key enzyme (serratiopeptidase) with high high market share (~80%).
AEL is slowly and steadily expanding its focus on animal nutrition, industrial enzymes and bio-catalysts through acquisitions and new manufacturing methods to expand its market share in industrial enzymes. It also has major pharma and consumer (incl beverages) Cos as its clients.
AEL is moving ahead in the industry by identifying niche areas for growth and executing it while it will take longer for it to reach a size comparable with Novozymes. So, it is an emerging growth Co in a niche industry with its own set of growth related risks
Thank you
One of the promoter group company “Advanced Vital Enzymes Private Limited” has sold about 3% stake in the company in the last quarter. Is this a cause of concern ? Company feels the current price is overvalued and sold a token stake for investment elsewhere.
Welcome your query sir,
Pl refer to “management issues in the past” under Key Risks for the details in the report
There has been some separation going on between two promoters and the Co you had mentioned pertain to one who is not in the management. They have brought down their stake below 10% now.
Thank you
thanks your stock recommedation.
but suggest please inform when to exit
Sure sir,
We will communicate when we recommend “exit” on a stock OR move it to “hold” from “buy”
Thank you
Dear Author
What is the present capacity utilisation of various facilities? How much sales it can do at peak utilisation?
Welcome for your query sir
Utilization is only at ~60% at this point of time of all the facilities combined.
Right now, they are working hard to get their product registrations through in global markets as well as acquiring new customers, which slowed down due to COVID
Based on demand for products and location (India/US/Europe), Co will pursue expansion later.
If Europe product registrations gets approvals this year, they will have expansion there. While in India, if the nutraceuticals (recent launches – immunity/probiotics) take-off well, they will have expansion in that area. Capacity expansion will happen geography wise and portfolio wise only.
So, it is difficult to predict peak overall utilization and sales. But, utilisation is likely to improve steadily from this level.
Thank you
Thank you for the detailed information !
I am a new subscriber and I have a basic Q. Now let’s say if I would like to buy some of these shares. Will prime investor be guiding on the same stock as a follow up in the future? ( Like buy more or sell or advise some caution etc.)
When there is a signficant fall from our ‘buy’ price, we do give accumualte calls. And we certainly give out ‘hold’ (which means it is no longer a buy) and ‘sell’ calls as well. But depending on when you buy the stock, if the market does provide averaging opportunities, you must pursue it even when we don’t explicitly give out one as long as a stock is in our buy list.. We ensure the hold or sell calls are from our side. thanks, Vidya
