    1. Hello Sir,

  1. Excellent analysis !!
There is one segment which they are trying to develop is tourism or like travel consultants. Few of my clients have experienced the same and were more than happy from value for money perspective!!
I wish next time when you review the stock, we consider this aspect also.
    Best wishes!!

  2. Question to Arati. Am just curious about the disclosure of not owning the stock. Is there any reason why you don’t own it, but recommend it? I mean, why would you not buy it for your portfolio yourself if you are convinced it is a good buy? Not questioning you, but just want to understand the reasons. TIA.

    1. Valid question. I have been wanting to buy it and that’s why had put it on watchlist for long. But when prices corrected I prioritised writing it over buying for my own portfolio. Regulations and ethics prevent us from buying a stock just before recommending it. That would be frontrunning. Still plan to buy once cooling off period is done.

      1. Thank you, Aarati. Good to see you putting fiduciary responsibilities ahead of personal portfolio.

Govt might not want to disinvest IRCTC anymore since they know this is cash generating machine with ability to scale platform with minimum cost. They already did blunder with IPO pricing. Revenue streams you have mentioned can significantly increase EPS going forward. Also they can monetise their customer database which itself is game changer. Looking at valuation multiples for companies like Affle are commanding, PE of IRCTC is nothing esp. considering huge customer base. Well researched article asusual.

  4. Excellent analysis. Thank you very much. My only concern is that it will be difficult for IRCTC to maintain the monopoly.
