Thank you Arati for this informative piece. Where can I check NAV of Indigrid? Do I need to invest by buying units from the market or can I buy from Indigrid directly (similar to mutual funds)?
You will need to check the investor section on India Grids website where it makes NAV disclosure in its ppts
Thank you. Two more quick questions:
1. NAV is 129 as of Q1FY22 vs current price is 134. Is this premium justified (e.g. in terms of growth in book value over July & August months) or should one wait to have the price come near NAV?
2. What should be % allocation of InvIT in a portfolio of a 40 year old salaried employee with surplus cash to deploy?
Buying at book value will be best but may not get opportunity. Yield is good enough at cmp. Allocation should be not more than 5% of debt portfolio imo
How does this compare to IRB INvit. I purchased IRB INvit and would like to get a view on the same.
We prefer transmission Invits to road project Invits though have not taken detailed look at IRB
Hello Aarati, The InvIt has run up a lot since listing. Is Rs.134/- a right level to enter or should we wait for some correction to happen. Please throw some light whether the current price and valuations are attractive to buy?
The price growth is in line with growth in book value. Can be bought.
Dear Madam,
Buying at this level @ 134 is a good idea. Any dip is possible in price near future.
kindly suggest.

Price dip is possible if interest rates move up sharply.
Thanks for this nice article Aarati. I saw news that NHAI InvIT will be floated soon. Will it impact the price of this?
Also it looks like not much liquidity on this product. Is that a concern?
I think transmission invits are more attractive than road Invits. Liquidity will improve with lot size reduction, new investors.
